Last Saturday night Les Sages performed at Sammy’s Café in Rexburg, ID. One of the band members, Joseph Larsen, served his mission in my home ward. After my own mission and connecting with him via facebook he sent me a link to his band’s web page (www.lessages.com) and I downloaded their album “Share This.” I liked it a lot, especially the tracks Nomads, The League War, and Red Lights.
The most interesting thing about Les Sages is that they are a family band made up of four brothers and one sister. Right now they perform without their sister because she joined a Canadian Rugby team. However the Larsen brothers still put on a great show with great energy and musical talent without her. I saw this today for the first time and I really dig the song. It’s from Brandon Flowers’ new solo album Flamingo. Hope you enjoy it.
And here’s a live version with our friend Rachel: Continue reading “Brandon Flowers – “Only The Young” video”
Here’s a cool official music video from our recently-interviewed Australian band Mayan Fox. This is Lioness (I Still Want Her), from their album Outfoxed.
You can check the song out on iTunes HERE.
Great new video just posted by our friends The Steelwells. These guys continue to grow, play shows, and write music. Check it out!
I just got a message from Adam Kaiser, who said that The Neighbors have just shot their first music video. This one’s a live performance of their song “I Wanna Know” and it’s a ton of fun. Directed by Brent Geisler, shot and cut by Alan Lucchetti, produced by Marcie Gibboney & Kelly King. I really want to see these guys live one day.
Fans of Low might be surprised to hear that two Low songs, “Silver Rider” and “Monkey”, have appeared on Robert Plant’s newest solo album Band of Joy. “Monkey” happens to be one of my favorites actually. I haven’t heard the covers but it is definitely exciting. Who knew that Robert Plant was a Low fan?
I am sure you’re all wondering how the Led Zeppelin singer interpreted such a signature Sparhawk/Parker song, here’s a fan video of the song being performed on Plant’s recent tour: Continue reading “Robert Plant covers Low on newest album”
