The Archivist, vol. vii; Odyssey 9

Sing in me, Muse, and through me tell the story
of that man skilled in some ways of drumming,
the wanderer, in search of new gigs,
after he wowed the crowds
behind the proud red drums of Pilot. He saw the Pink House,
and learned the minds of several different men
and weathered difficult rehearsals
on his hard chair behind the skins, while he fought only
to play good drum parts, to bring his bandmates honor.
But not by will nor valor could he save them,
for their own bickering destroyed the band.

After writing this, I found a website [http://www.thetanaught.org/] for a band called Theta Naught who played in a Pink House in Provo in 2003 and 2004 (and which at one time included Kristen Lawrence). I wonder if it’s the same house (there are several), but more to the point, I wonder if any of the Naughtians besides Kristen are undiscovered Linescratchers. It seems most probable — I will have to investigate.
