2010 Linescratchers Staff Pick
Mayan Fox – Outfoxed

This year, the staff at Linescratchers have chosen Mayan Fox as our 2010 Staff Pick.  We determined that the Staff Pick would go to an exceptional artist or group who was not selected by the voting process, but who ideally exemplify the values and mission of Linescratchers.  Mayan Fox has developed a strong following in Australia, where Mormons are a smaller minority than here in the United States.  They have a unique sound that is an impressive blend of many cultures, and released a well-produced and exciting album in 2010, Outfoxed.  Lastly, they are a very socially conscious band, bringing much-needed attention to important causes such as the issue of modern slavery caused by irresponsible trade.  We hope to see more from Mayan Fox in the future, and you can read about it right here on Linescratchers.

Winners will receive:

  • A free merchandise design by Joseph Mecham, graphic designer
  • The graphics above for use on their website
  • And of course, the bragging rights and the award

Thanks to all who voted and spread the word about Linescratchers and the 2010 Linescratchers Awards!
